What a Fall! Glorious colors, Indian
Summer days with occasional blizzards...
Then
there was that encounter (another kind of fall...) that I had with
a walnut (hiding beneath those fallen leaves) and a concrete sidewalk,
leaving me with a dislocated finger and broken bone in my right hand,
a couple of broken ribs, and a purple cast, decorated by my nieces,
on my hand for the next few weeks.
This
has made it difficult to play an instrument, so I’ve had to
cancel all my gigs until late December, and postpone my plans to get
my solo acoustic CD out for the holidays. The CD is coming along,
so it won’t be too long before it’s ready. And I guess
I get my wish for a little quiet time...oh boy!
I hope you are well and enjoying the journey...finding
time for music, friends, nature and whatever else brings you joy.
Have a lovely winter, and I hope our paths cross before long.
Thanks for visiting...come back soon!
Peace
and cheers,
Ellen
For over three decades Ellen
has been writing songs and entertaining audiences at clubs, concerts
and festivals around the country. Her rich and unpretentious voice
(about which actor Tim Curry once exclaimed, "A DAMN fine set
of pipes!") and her insightful, honest and well crafted songs
come from and go right to the heart. Whether in a living room or a
large concert hall, Ellen creates an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth
and allows folks to just enjoy being themselves.
Lifelong interests in the
environment, social justice and peace infuse her music, writing and
art work. Ellen also works in the field of conflict resolution, where
she finds music can open the door to finding common ground.
